Large campus with the usual problems.

 

ANY NEW LEADS?

One "person of interest" located through my personal sources after nearly 40 years and info has been given to UW police. He was a medical resident at University Hospital, which is right across the street from Sterling Hall where Chris was murdered.

After Chris' death he was questioned by the police, left Madison unexpectedly and disappeared. UW detectives later located him in NY and intended

to interview him again and do a polygraph. They arrived in NY, made contact with him, but he disappeared the night before the polygraph was scheduled to take place. His current address/ phone have been given to the UW detectives.

 

LAST MONTH YOU PLANNED AN EVENT TO CELEBRATE HER LIFE? 

I hosted a memorial at the Bell Carillon Tower on the UW campus on May 26th. I had 3 speakers and carillon bell program to commemorate my friend's short life.

 

HOW LONG DID YOU KNOW CHRISTINE? WHERE DID YOU MEET? 

I knew Chris from our freshman year at UW. We met on campus.

 

HOW DO YOU CONTINUE TO KEEP UP HOPE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS?

I have been advocating on Chris' behalf with the police and media since 2004 when I realized that nothing was being done by the UW detectives. Her case was

classified as "cold". DNA testing had never been done on the physical evidence from her crime scene and this gravely concerned me so I started keeping contact with the UW detectives and pushing for them to reopen her case and get the DNA testing done. Community and media pressure forced the UW detectives to take me seriously. I remain hopeful because there is still hope for justice...justice delayed but still justice. I will continue advocating for Chris the rest of my life.
